Tim Kubach >

In his photographic series titled "artificial worlds" Tim Kubach explores the theme of natural surrogates in the context of society's consumption of experiences during leisure time.
The increasing commercialization of free time is a growing market that makes its appearance in various forms. These include activity-centered swimming pools, sport and adventure centers, amusement parks, zoological gardens and indoor ski centers.
He photographs these places, along with their artificiality and bizarre designs, in a documentary style that is meticulous and rich in detail. The works pose a number of questions without trying to morally rise above what is depicted.
